Dr. Fong did my daughter’s appendectomy. Maybe his surgical skills are great. I wouldn’t know because nobody from his team called me after her procedure to let me know how it went.

Dr. Fong removed by gallbladder at Duke Regional Hospital in March of 2024. Not only did I get great care at Duke, Dr. Fong and his team made sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable until I could have the surgery. Follow up call was helpful and reassuring about lingering issues I was having due to being diabetic and not healing as quickly as I had liked. Dr. Fong is very professional and is considered to be one of the best amongst his peers at Duke...yes, I asked!
I am writing this review for my mama. She is no longer here. She had surgery for a hernia on April 1st. She was keep over the weekend as she was on blood thinners (bridge) on the day of discharge she passed out. She was told it was because she saw her blood. My mother went home and was hemorrhaging. She ended up back in the ED Monday morning with a hemoglobin of 5. She passed away On Wednesday. She had over a liter of blood in her abdomen.
