They built a field stone retaining wall, placed granite steps, re-graded our yard and planted trees, shrubs, ground cover and grass. They also installed a sprinkler system. Overall they did a very good job. Their stone mason did a beautiful job on the low retaining wall. They were very professional and did the work on schedule. They did the work for the amount quoted. We had some plants die during the first winter and they replaced them, with not arguments. The owner and site person were very nice to work with.
I do not know where to even start!! In fact i have been procrastinating writing up my praises because I did not know when I'd have enough time to cover every detail! From start to finish, I could not be happier. The scope of the project was enormous and through out, everyone from the senior managers/owners to the young apprentices were totally focused on my pleasure sometimes minute by minute as each brick was laid ! Paul Biama was the salesperson and was extremely knowledgeable and professional when providing an estimate for the tree removals and pruning at my home. The men who performed the work seemed very responsible and performed all of the tasks without any problems or delays. The yard was left in a tidy manner and the foreman of the crew notified me that they were done and asked if we were happy with how things looked. Phil Mastroianni Corp in Moody Street, Waltham is the worst contractor I have ever dealt with. The quality of work was poor and well below expectations or price. The withholding of $500 for work I had to perform resulted in a threat of lawyers - lame. Don't ever think about using Phil for anything, or if you do, write every last detail in your contract or you'll get sloppy workmanship.
