Just arrived at hospital room and two young girls came in from the Phelps therapy center and they proceeded to get me moving but I was taken there because I COULD NOT WALK The pain was excruciating and I couldn’t make them understand. They left me the young man from Phelps therapy showed up and I told him I had a bad experience with his workers and he went out acting like a big baby instead of asking me what happened. I had a second scoliosis surgery down in the city in early May. My first surgery was in November and for rehab I unfortunately choose another large well known rehab center in White Plains that was a total nitemare. This surgery in early May I knew I had to give Phelps a try. Three days after my six-hour laminectomy, I arrived at Phelps for intensive inpatient rehab. I didn’t know what to expect and was very impressed with the care and support I received there. The nurses were warm and caring, understanding that I was uncomfortable and wanting relief. And the occupational and physical therapy was superb.
