Tried to hold off from leaving a review but people need to be warned. Have had one of their scooters for over 5 years and it's been great, until an error code popped up and literally nobody will respond or even try to help me. Says they are 'moving offices' and then they go silent. Something bad going on over there so I'd be wary if purchasing. Too bad, they used to be great before new ownership.
My Phat Scooter randomly caught on fire while charging at night. It was terrifying, and I'm grateful I was able to put out the fire before things got even more out of control. I reached out to the company to let them know about this incident. I've included pictures and the report from the fire department. Phat Scooters completely ghosted me. It’s been 6+ months since I ordered my scooter and during that time I was hit with endless delays, batteries were back ordered, golf caddies had a failures and design flaws, new GM locked them out of the warehouse, a Bluetooth speaker was offered for the troubles (haven’t seen that yet either) the list goes on. All communication is done via texts so I have all the messages between me and the salesmen. We own a Phat Ride ( $3,000 purchase) , we have been attempting to reach someone from the company in regards to getting a new charging cord for awhile, however on your site it says the shipping fee is $200. I live in AZ. If offers a local pick up but no address? I left several messages and yesterday someone responded saying they would fix, I looked today and it is now $450 to ship a cord to me.
