I recently attended a WIC appointment and felt compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, my visit was disappointing due to both professionalism and service concerns. The front desk staff, particularly some of the newer employees, appeared to lack adequate training and customer service skills. When I asked questions, I was often met with uncertainty or a lack of clear information, which made the process more frustrating than helpful. Honestly it has been 2 weeks since my appointment and I’m still upset so I’m going to vent here. I had my baby at the end of last month, and was scheduled for a visit to verify my information again and reload benefits. My appointment was at 12:45 and I didn’t get to leave until 2:30. I would have been held longer if I literally didn’t tell the last woman that I haven’t eaten all day and I have an OB appointment at 3:15 (which was true).
