This place need minus 5 stars. My dog came out looking worse then it went in. When i said shave all her hair off like a chihuahua's hair and dont leave beard or eyebrows because she gets food in it, I don't expect to get her back (after paying) with her hair on ears and head not even touched (2-3 inches long and shaggy) Legs not done, nails not cut, feet looking embarrassing shaggy and to top it off . the only missing hair was the middle of her back. Yesterday I had to make a trip to the PawmettoLife in Harbison. After that I needed to go to PetSmart. When I walked in the cashier yelled at me asking about my mask. Told her I could not wear one. Found the items I needed for Baby Taz. Went to check out. Asked cashier about the price on the dog bones on counter top. She pointed to merchandise on counter and said she was waiting on customer. If I could give 0 stars, I would. We just moved to Irmo and needed to find a groomer for our senior dog so we decided to give Pet Smart in Irmo a try since they had good reviews. My husband dropped our dog off at 11:30 this morning and just now after 7pm was able to bring Griff home. Not only was he still wet and barely groomed at all they said he was not welcomed there again because he is "too old and kept laying down". NEVER AGAIN. Our dog was injured there & they didn’t tell us! Took our greyhound to the grooming department for a bath & nail trim. After we got home I noticed a cut on his inner hind leg. I called to ask what happened & was told “he had a meltdown while we were trimming his nails & he tried to jump off the table”. She then told me perhaps her (the groomer) fingernail scratched him when she caught him. I said No, this is not a scratch, it’s a significant cut and it obviously bled. They make sure my Babies have what they need.
Whatever you do don’t bring your cats there . My daughter brought her kitten there . This kitten was breathing heavily , couldn’t lift its head up and they had no clue what was wrong . They sent her home with an antibiotic and a can of food . Needless to say they charged my daughter over $400 with no diagnosis and told her to take the kitty home . This poor baby died less than 24 hours later . Something is wrong if they can’t tell an animal is that close to death . So $400 later and we don’t even know why it died . �
Beka the groomer always takes the best care of my little man and they always carry the healthy items that I need.
