I knew this day was coming especially since my Sunny boy was diagnosed with Prostate cancer 19 months ago. He took meds every day and we did all the things...He was a trooper at 15 years and 9 months old it was time for him to go be with his brother Gunther. We brought our old friend, 17 1/2 year old senior citizen Pauli, the tortoise shell cat, to this warm and homey office in Creve Coeur. Veterinarian Chris greeted us appropriately, and set us up in a room that was specially outfitted for us. Pauli's name was on a plaque, and the furniture was simple, inviting and comfortable for our family to be there. Pauli briefly explored the room, then returned to our laps. I cannot say how much the experience with Pets at Rest helped us get through one of the hardest decisions of our life. Our sweet girl was almost 13 and withering away. We wanted so bad to hold onto her forever but she was getting worse and we had to help her out of that. Pets at Rest showed so much compassion and support through the whole process. The staff at Pets At Rest are amazing, to say the least. They made a hard day for our family more comfortable than I ever could have imagined. Can't say enough good things about them. We would recommend them to anyone going through something like this.
