Dr. Petruff is wonderful. I had my first colonoscopy today and felt confident in her skills, experience, and good care, as well as in the entire team at St. Francis. Dr. Petruff is very charming and is a great listener -- as good as it gets.
7-14 As I was coming out under propofol she rushed through to discuss the results of my colonoscopy. I contacted her practice mid 12/16 due to GI issues after a recent ER visit. I could not get apt until late 2/17. I saw another MD in the same practice who just continued the same 2/14 diagnosis. Pain and gi distress continued. 2 more visits , one with the same MD( getting no results) and one with their condescending APRN. No one is listening to the patient's needs. I'm done!!!!!!!
Poor communications. Always in a hurry to leave bedside. She has no interest in her patients questions. Or the patient. Any explanation you do get is vague and hurried.
I went to see Dr. Petruff a few years ago for issues with acid reflux. She scheduled me for an endoscopy and motility study. After both (the latter of which was very unpleasant), there was little follow-up. My appointments were always rushed. Her description of the results was vague and it appeared to me that she could not explain the cause of my symptoms. Her only solution was to prescribe expensive PPI drugs. When that didn't work she suggested surgery. I never went back.
Dr. Pope has been my PCP since 1980. He is an excellent doctor, with a common sense,no nonsense manner. He is the standard to which other doctors should aspire.
Dr. Pope has been my primary physician since 1980. He has seen me through all of my medical ups and downs,,, He is always there to support and heal. He listens and he cares. I'm grateful to him for all he has done for me.
Dr. Pope has been my PCP for about 14/15 years now, and I would highly recommend him to those looking for a good doctor that really cares about his patients. I've had many types of doctors - and my share of really bad doctors. But the one thing that sets him apart and above the rest is that he cares about you, listens to your concerns and truly wants to help you - that's a rare quality these days.
Communication skills are excellence. Listens to patient describe medical and other issues in the patients life.
