I was getting my laundry done in August. I was in town working on a film production that was in Port Alberni for 3 weeks. I had 6 bags of laundry done as I worked long hours. They said it world take 48 hours. I had no choice but to wait 2 days. After the 48 hours, I picked up all 6 bags. I regularly would stop at this station to fill up. It seemed odd to me that the pumps always had a sign indicating the payment system was down and to pay inside. Then when I was at the front desk I repeatedly tried tapping to make the payment, but the machine wouldn’t accept my card. So the young clerk (early 20 something) took my card and the machine, went around the corner, and then came back with the payment completed. It seemed very strange.
