Well the Northbrook Petro-Can is not just gas and convenience. Well it is but the owners and staff work above and beyond to help guide you through a treasure trove of items from candy to the random whats-it you broke and haven't found anywhere in the world. They have it aisle 3 halfway between the water pipe and the wolf print sweater. Many moons I worked here pumping gas. Now gas is self serve so the friendly staff can focus inside on your needs. Yikes. The mark up on alcohol will leave your jaw on the floor. I think my jaw is still on the floor at the till. I get it, I expect to pay a little extra at the gas station. But the 12 pack of beer that was $22 at the grocery store this past weekend was $32 at this gas station! Wow! Now that is some insane greed.
