Horrible Experience! I bought over $80 dollars worth of fish within the same week from Pet Land and I had one fish that oddly enough chased my more aggressive fish around so I decided to bring him back and get my money back or store credit toward another fish. Keep in mind this is only a $4.00 fish. At the same time I also decided to bring in a fish that was too large for my tank and donate it to the store. When I got there and told the gentlemen at the register what I needed he went and got the manager for a "fish check" Th... read more
new puppy had parasites I bought my puggle from here and I wish I hadn't. They charged me about 900 hundred dollars for my puggle. ( I couldve gotten her for 600-700 from a reputable breeder. Than they had to keep her for another week because she had a respiratory infection. Which meant that she should have been 100 dollar cheaper because she was an "older pup." When I took her to the vet, she had all several parasites and fungal infections. Nutmeg is fine now and adorable and healthy, but petland is not the place to go for ... read more
For aquariums This is an excellent store, They provide great service and information in the aquarium area. Very honest people here. Talk to Anthony, he is the fish and reptile manager.
NO!! DO NOT GO Petland buys dogs from puppy mills, which are mass factory farm breeding facilites that keep dogs in cages 24/7. The females are bred every single time possible. Any time a dog doesn't "cut it" as a breeder, they are killed or auctioned off to another facility.
sad story about my puppy We bought our yorkie puppy there in October. Petland let us know he had surgery for a hernia and got neutered before we bought him. Tuesday, Jan 8, we had to bring him to the vet. His stitches burst because of a dirty surgery. Now we have a $200 vet bill for Petland's mistake.
eww. Ack, bad store. Well, maybe its good for buying a puppy or a kitty or something, but definitely not for hermit crabs, which were what I went there to buy. They keep them with those ugly, nasty football helmets on their shells, in nothing but woodchips for substrate and unfiltered water for drinking.
Animals This is a great pet store with a variety of animals. They have fish, frogs, snakes, lizards, eels, kittens, puppies, birds, turtles, bunnies, ferrets, hamsters... They carry a wide assortment of animals in one store. The employees are very helpful and are extremely informative.
Petland has a 2.2 star rating with 32 reviews.
