We couldn’t recommend Pethers enough for a relaxing weekend away! From before we even arrived the service was warm and welcoming. We arrived after reception closed but staff left a lovely note welcoming us, with a map to our lodge and a reminder of our dinner booking. The dinner was amazing, the tasting menu was one of the best we’ve had and the ambience was very relaxing. In LOVE with this place. It was quiet and felt secluded (without actually being too far from local shops). As a couple without kids, it was great to find a retreat that allows no children - as we booked in the school holidays without realising! It was so quiet and peaceful, we were surrounded by nature. The view from the room was stunning and somehow also felt private. We saw (and heard) lots of birds and saw lots of pademelons. Highly recommend staying in the treetop rooms. We will be back.
Right from the beginning days of wedding planning & venue tours, Pethers stood out to my husband & I & became our #1 choice. We LOVED how immersed in nature the wedding garden was & the overall ambiance of the venue! Our guests LOVED the reception fireplace & all the natural wooden features.
