Beautiful rooms, lovely staff and the restaurant was outstanding.
We absolutely loved our stay at Pethers rainforest retreat! What a hidden gem. The staff made us feel very welcome, there was complimentary bottle and chocolate in the room and the room was extemely spacious. Lovely bed and comfy seating area. Its the perfect place to unwind and just enjoy the surroundings. However, for a luxury retreat, I missed some little touches to make it feel a bit more high end. The coffee/tea, the soaps and the crockery could be a bit more luxurious (I get the same in a 'cheap' motel). Nothing wrong ... read more
We did enjoy our stay. So there's no doubt that this is a nice place and the rooms are lovely but as for luxury I'd say that's questionable. For me personally the rooms need modernising just a little bit. Our fire (electric fireplace) produced no heat so it was rather cold even with the (very noisy) wall heater on. The breakfast is a lovely addition, and the room are massive. Little touches could make this place so much nicer.
The treehouses were perfect for our wedding preparations, with beautiful surroundings, comfortable spaces, thoughtful welcome wine and chocolates, and a lovely breakfast selection to start our mornings. The Pethers house was also ideal for accommodating our family, with enough space for a larger family group or two smaller households. We had a weekend away in Pethers House. It was magical! Gorgeous house, wrap around balcony, fireplace, plenty of space and a great location to share quality relaxation time with friends. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for a group stay or wedding venue. The grounds and location are just beautiful. We explored the local area in foot, bushwalk through the local knoll section to Cameron Falls, spent time at a local day spa and soaked up the best of the mountain.
