I took my car to Pete's because I needed to smog it. The smog, I was told, would cost 60$. I was asked if the check engine light was on or anything-of which I said-yes. Make a long story short-I was told my car would not pass smog with the check engine light on and the only way they could tell me exactly what was wrong with it(as well as guarantee the work they did would solve my problem) is if I paid the 100$ fee of putting it on their diagnostic machine.
