I was introduced to Dr Chang when I experienced an emergency with a sudden retina issue. He rearranged his schedule to perform surgery on me as quickly as possible, including communicating directly with me. I had the very good fortune to be referred to Dr. Chang and to have him first do an epiretinal peel at Mass Eye and Ear to improve my scarred macula and then to have lens implants done for both my eyes: a (near-midrange-distance) lens in one eye performed at Mass Eye and Ear, and a (midrange-distance) lens in the eye that had the damaged macula, performed at the surgical unit downstairs from his Waltham office. 62 year old male... I came to Dr. Chang with several eye issues. I had an acute cataract in one eye and a chronic cataract in the other eye, floaters both eyes and an epi-retinal membrane in one eye. When I first met Dr. Chang my vision was 20-50 in one eye and 20-80 in the other.
