I was referred to Dr. Tarbox by my General Practitioner (who is exceptional) and was told I'd be called by Dr. Tarbox's office to set up a new patient appointment. After not hearing from his office I called Dr. Tarbox's office and made a new patient appointment. The soonest appointment was close to two months away, but that's about average for a new patient appointment with a neurologist and I accepted the appointment. Terrible terrible office. Such rude staff. Nobody answers the phone. My father had an apt at 9:30 on July 29 (literally had an apt card with the date/time). The office sent a reminder to my dad stating it was at 1:30pm. My mom tried calling and calling to confirm this error and nobody would answer. When my mom finally got through to the office the lady working was extremely rude and kept saying it was 1:30, even though my mom had an apt card. The worst physician office set up I have ever faced! Unable to talk with anyone, phone call goes nowhere in a loud way. Everything on line, ok if you know how to work some of these things. I am in severe pain and I cannot see a doctor.

I can’t tell you much because it’s been 7 weeks of me trying to get an appointment with a referral. Left multiple voicemails , spoke briefly to reception and then on hold again. With the limitation of neurologists in San Antonio it’s very frustrating.

Very disturbing issues with how the office manager "runs" her staff . MAJOR ISSUES WITH HOW PHONE CALLS, ORDERED TEST RESULTS DONE RIGHT THERE, PRIOR OUTSIDE MEDICAL DOCUMENTATION BROUGHT IN AND INTERNAL INFORMATION WAS NOT ABLE TO BE FOUND THE DAY AFTER I WAS SCHEDULED FOR A FIRST TIME APPOINTMENT. Without the test results of a small mass in my brain, which is why their office manager scheduled a next day appointment, was not anywhere in that office.
