I came in for a routine checkup and requested standard lab work. After reviewing the initial results, Dr. Tan took the time to thoroughly explain the few abnormalities and ordered additional, more specific tests based on my lifestyle and diet to get a clearer picture. I cannot speak about the doctor personally, since I never had an appointment there. However, my experience calling the office today was very unprofessional. There was a lot of background noise, kids running around, and the person answering the phone kept asking for the same information multiple times. Honestly, even Medi-Cal offices usually feel more organized and professional than this experience. After the phone call, I decided not to make an appointment here.

After my first experience with Dr.Tan, I have to say that it's been nothing but positive, and his staff is super attentive and personable... While I would have preferred better communication regarding my blood pressure on my first visit, I soon realized after monitoring my blood pressure myself at home that it was HIGH, I guess that's why they call it the "Silent killer". I'm an extremely healthy and fit person and won't take any medication unless it's absolutely necessary, but in hindsight, Doctor Tan made the right call. T... read more
