As I’m reading the reviews, I am wondering if my daughter and I saw the same doctor! Dr. Futrell knew my daughters case because he was the On Call Doctor when we brought her to the ER. It was determined that she had bacterial meningitis and was at Northside for a week. We saw Neurology during her stay was very impressed with what they did for her. Over the past few months, I have thought very long and hard about if I should write a review. I genuinely do not like writing reviews; so the company/brand/or individual whom I am reviewing has to either overly-serve my needs, or terribly underserve my needs. I will say this: Dr. Futrell presents as very intelligent on the surface, but I'm still not quite sure who he is medically. He was quite dismissive and even came across as arrogant. My mother was inpatient at Northside hospital for over a week with a number of neurological issues. The physicians at Northside urged my father to get my mother in with Dr. Futrell specifically. They live outside of the area but were pleased with her care at Northside and trusted their opinions. Distance did not matter, as long as my mom received what she needed by the “best”.
