Dr. Sagaram is an incredibly amazing doctor. I have been seeing her since June of last year, and she has been consistently wonderful throughout my cancer journey. Because of my illness, there are times I cannot remember everything, and she is so patient. She will spend 20 or 30 minutes explaining things to me, and then she is willing to explain it all over again to my sister, Kass, to make sure we both understand. I was here on 2 different occasions and I gotta say the nurses are incredible they made my stay so enjoyable and had very good communication with me shot out to Hanna, Kristin, Doug, Bevin and kuldeep and others I can't remember your names but u were all amazing!! This was my HORRIBLE experience at Banner Health “Desert Medical Center”! I went to Banner on Southern and Ironwood early morning as I was feeling bad the day scheduled for surgery. They did not do much for me as I was not doing bad by their opinion. Well, the other problem came up when they decided to transfer me to Desert Medical where I was scheduled for surgery on this day before Thanksgiving. Some nurses attitudes towards patients is unprofessional, the doctors are great, but the talking down to patients is unacceptable. I was admitted a week ago, put in a room with a gentleman that pisses and shits all over himself. Hes high maintenance, sometimes needing all nurses (4) at a time. That pulls all medical help feom other clients. How is that fair? Doesnt he need to be but in a higher care area? Ive lived on 2 hours a sleep a night now for 8 days. Banner Estrella could not find where my husband was bleeding from after he had his first colonoscopy even though he was there for a month. Finally having enough after one of the employees (I can't remember if she was a nurse or a lab tech) asked me and my adult children what we wanted them to do. DO NOT GO TO BANNER OCOTILLO During a midnight checking at the Banner Ocotillo Emergency room, the receptionist was both unprofessional and unreasonable. When I arrived at the hospital I checked with the Emergency Room receptionist to see if my spouse had arrived in transport via Ambulance. The receptionist was incredibly rude and barked that I should sit in the waiting room and she would notify me when my spouse arrived. My daughter just had her second baby at this hospital and we all agree that the service she got was great! Her first baby was born in another hospital and town close by that was a huge disappointment to say the least. A shout out to everyone in labor and delivery! From the nurses to lactation consultants, doctors. Everyone was so kind. Thank you all for making this experience such a good one. They even made this grandma feel respected!
DO NOT GO HERE. Banner facilities are never my first choice because it seems treatment like this is the rule rather than the exception. Decided to give this clinic a try for psychiatry. Big mistake. I'm extremely dissatisfied with every provider I've seen here. My psychiatrist hadn't received a doctorate and constantly questioned common symptoms and dragged out appointments for the better part of a year without diagnosis instead of telling me I was too complex of a case for his experience.
