Dr. Danko is an incredible doctor and human being. Contrary to the 2 negative reviews I see here, he is competent, resourceful, has excellent rapport with patients, very experienced and knowledgeable. I see a complaint about "wait time"...doctors have nothing to do with the complainer's wait time. He will spend as much time with you as needed. Dr. Schlegel has been very diligent and compassionate in treating my uncommon hemolytic disease. I would highly recommend him.
There is no better! If not for Dr Danco (which is what patients call him) I would probably not be around to praise him. Hardest working man I have ever met. I had had two other Dr’s at CCNW and even after chemo treatments there had been no progress in treating my cancer. Dr Danco took over and came up with a plan that finally worked. I was in the hospital several times and he would visit me every morning and discuss the plans for that day. Finally we got to the point where I could get a stem cell transplant. Dr. Danko is the best. He made time to see me on his day off to ensure I got the best treatment possible and his attitude and communication throughout were impeccible. He's passionate, loves his patients and works harder than anyone I've ever met. His positive and determined attitude was a tremendous help in a really difficult time and part of the reason I'm alive. He must be hard to work with--I know I couldn't keep up the pace he sets. But I can't imagine going through chemo with anyone else.
Dr Danko failed to follow drug manufacturer guidelines for mitigating adverse reactions which left me with permanent damage, then calls it successful treatment.The Dr. also promise's to do things, and then never does it, and his staff is tired of fixing his neglect. There are other choices out there.
Dr. Danko Matincic, although may be a great doctor, his staff, are rude and indifferent. He doesn't return calls for days, if at all. A call to the attending nurse is normally handled with indifference. Wait time is crazy 2 hours minimum. Their is other Doctors in Spokane, go to them cancer is not a game and should not be treated as one.
Dr. Danko is absolutely the best! He takes a long time with you as a patient explaining all aspects of your health and is straightforward about any issues he's concerned with. He listens to you intently and has returned calls or texts in the evenings as well! His staff is also very helpful and thorough. We would highly recommend him for any internal issues!
