I gave birth 3 weeks ago. While I hoped my own ob would deliver he wasn't on call when I went to the hospital. I had heard bad things about doctor van Oosten but was confident my awesome nurse and husband would make sure Baby and I were well cared for. He is a good doctor I'll give him that, but they way he treated the nurses really irritated me. The nurses are the ones there with us the entire delivery. horrible. We waited more than 40 minutes at the reception, not to mention we arrived early. And wait approximately another 30 minutes inside the office, and the consultation only lasts at most 5 minutes or less. and when we where walking outside the office this doctor was eating a sandwish so calm and happy....We do not ever go back
Do not use him! He treated my pregnant wife very inappropriately. Van Oosten refuses to address legitimate concerns (such as not scheduling an RH test) and if you ask about them, he will stomp out of the room like a young child throwing a tantrum. We asked several developmental questions (we didn't know the answers) to which he told us he couldn't be bothered and mentioned that we should just look things up on the internet instead of expecting him to provide us guidance. Dr. Van Oosten and his staff are excellent!!! Appointment scheduling is easy & flexible with very little wait times. He is a great doctor that actively listens to his patients and allows plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
