This was three years ago, but it's been eating me up since. This doctor was palpating my wife's cervix with little warning, and continued to press forward despite her cries of pain. If I had been a little quicker on the uptake, and not so shocked, I would have told him to stop and would have hit him if he hadn't. He treated her like a breeding cow. Dr. Harewood was attentive, respectful and made it less awkward during procedure by carrying on conversation. Informative about possible diagnosis and symptoms. My visit was not related to pregnancy, fyi. It was an easy going visit and glad that I went to get something checked. I would recommend him for others seeking a gynecologist. Thank you, Dr. Harewood.
I have never felt more dismissed by a provider. The level of apathy this provider had was astronomical and quite frankly, unbelievable. I can’t believe Guthrie has hired someone like him. It reflects very badly on them. I have a a high risk pregnancy and went to see him because my usual providers had no appointments and I’m seen multiple times a week every week. Dr. Harewood was my sister's Dr when she was in labor, he completely ignored her wishes during labor. He insisted on a c- section because "it's been too long" and it hadn't even been 24 hours. He did not explain the procedure to her and did nothing to put her mind at ease. And because he was lazy and rushed the surgery, she's had a retained placenta for NINE WEEKS!
