Dr. Friedell walked into the room and told my mom that her cancer was almost all gone. It seemed pretty hard to believe since 3 months ago it was all over in her bones. He assured us that it was though. When I asked Dr. Roselle to look at my mom's scan he explained that the cancer was less active but not gone. Dr. Friedell told my mom and aunt information that was not true and got their hopes up to have it all crashed down a few days later. There are other issues but this one was the final. My mom is seeing a new doctor now.
Dr. Friedell thoroughly reviewed my records and explained to me the next steps in my cancer treatment. He listened to my questions and concerns and explained to me the next steps and why we would take the next steps in the order prescribed. Unlike other physicians I have had the displeasure of meeting since my diagnosis, it was a pleasure to meet with Dr. Friedell. He provided concrete reasoning and explanations for the next steps. He also provided compassionate understanding of what I was going through.
This doctor should be retired. He is not up to date on things like ME/CFS and MS. He may know cancer but he needs to learn other diseases.
