A nice park away from the crowds. Either people don’t know about it, or they simply don’t want to go there. It closes in the evening. Most people who come here are visiting the dog park, so it’s generally well frequented by normal, friendly people. By crossing the bridge, you can sit on benches and enjoy a nice view overlooking the East River.
A wonderful park that takes people by trees, on a bridge over FDR Drive, and to the East River, where one can catch views of Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx (as vehicles speed by on FDR Drive, separated from the park by a cast-iron fence). And the park’s relative isolation—in New York City!—provides its own charm.
We had a good time we ate the kids playing in the park
