I had cataract surgery with Dr Bekendam. Everything went very smooth! There were no problems and it was over with quickly! I was awake but didn’t feel a thing. Dr Bekendam informed me of every step he was doing. He called me a few hours later to check on me and the next day a nurse did the same. I definitely felt taken care of. I had been afraid to do surgery on my eyes because of how sensitive they are. But he was great and it was fast. I had no unpleasant side effects after surgery. Very efficient and professional. Told me what I would be receiving with my lens replacement and It looks like it's all good. It's only been one day since my second surgery, so still seeing what I was missing. Pretty exciting so far. Dr. Sharon Liao was also great in checking my eyes and answering the many questions that came up. And kudos to Dr. Donald Spaulding for recommending Dr. Peter Beckendam and Pacific Eye Institute.
