I rarely spend time with a doctor who was more dismissive and listened less than doctor Wilmot. Long story short, we are seeking a second opinion.
Dr. Wilmot was incredibly dismissive and jumped to conclusions without doing a single exam. I saw him for 5 minutes total, and in those 5 minutes I was talked over and spoken down to. He gave a diagnosis of functional dyspepsia and prescribed antacids without doing any testing or exams. I have a new gastroenterologist now, and while I don't have an official diagnosis yet, it is clear that Wilmot missed an incredible amount of issues that have only further damaged my health. We were assigned Dr. Wilmot when my sons regular GI doctor went out on maternity leave. My son was being treated by Wilmot for ulcers that came back after stopping meds a few months prior. He had no clue the cause of the ulcers. He did start treating him with meds to heal them. I called him 2x in one day telling him that my 16 year old was in severe pain. My son was on day 11 of the meds and he told me that it takes up to 2 weeks for the meds to work. That was it. He didn't say take him to the ER, nothing... No compassion. T... read more
