I had my water pump replaced at this shop and was advised to change the timing belt as well, as it would be removed during the process. Since my timing belt still had 50K left, I chose not to replace it. However, I was never warned that reinstalling a removed timing belt could cause issues. A few days later, during a trip to Melbourne, I heard horrible noises from my bonnet. The next day, my car wouldn’t start.
