When I was fourteen, my dog ran away during a thunderstorm. We searched for days posters, calls, the usual heartbreak routine. On the fifth night, I woke up at 3:33 a.m. to the sound of paws pacing in the hallway. Light steps. Measured. Not frantic like when he’d chase squirrels or guests, just… deliberate. This was my second visit here. I drive 45 minutes because I liked my first visit. So I was looking forward to my next visit. Well I had a different staff of course. Shelby and I guess had a major miscommunication because I was so stressed about my sick cat that even wasn’t the patient. It was difficult to focus on my other cat for his regular visit. I seriously wish I could have given a tip to the two young ladies who closed last night, but a shout out will have to do. I didn't catch their names, I was exhausted - I had just come from spending hours at the emergency vet with my dog to get some special food that the vet recommended for her pancreatitis. My girl was really uncomfortable and also exhausted, but I brought her into the store as she gets super anxious in the car alone.
