I had one of the most frustrating and disheartening experiences at this dog grooming establishment. I booked an appointment well in advance, clearly noting that my dog has advanced perinatal disease, a condition our vet has helped us manage carefully. Despite this, my dog is completely up to date on all vaccinations and poses no health risk to others. This store is 100% improved since last year. Different staff who are more friendly and genuinely care for the customers and our pets.
I had an.... interesting interaction with a VetCo staff member yesterday (6/27). She approached me while I was looking at the animals and we had a great conversation. I had a wonderful time until she shifted the conversation to church and how "He" had saved her. She inquired about my religion and began promoting her church, until my friend approached and she immediately stopped. This was completely unprovoked and random. Super uncomfortable to try and be converted to faith in a pet store...
Petco Staples Mill Road (this particular location in Henrico county— I am only referring to this location as my experience was not the same at another location ) was so loving to my sweet Cinnamon and took great care of her! They groomed her and took their time and she looked wonderful. I lost my sweet Cinnamon, but the way they loved her will never be forgotten.
I’m not sure if the store is not pushing reviews in relations to grooming, but I know before I book I typically like to read the reviews on who to book! I’m looking to rebook at this location, unfortunately for me it’s filled until Friday. Since, I see so many negative reviews… I’m going to take the time to shout out Natalie for her work in March.
