An average pet store The main supplies I buy from PetCo are for my saltwater aquarium. If you have a dog, cat, or even a horse, they have a good selection of stuff, but for a saltwater aquarium, it can be slim pickings. They have recently upgraded the marine section, so it is better than it used to be. I don't buy saltwater fish here, because they don't care for them properly. The tangs are in 20 gallon tanks (they need at least a 30-40 gallon tank when they are small), the dragonettes shouldn't be sold to just anyone, and n... read more
Great store! We go here for almost all of our pet needs. From classes to supplies to out-of-the-ordinary items, if they don't have it they can usually get it for you. Helpful staff, too!
I have been a Petco grooming customer for over 7 years. I made an appointment for my 2 dogs for grooming on NYD, drove over 35 minutes to get here & was turned away for being 9 minutes late. Supposedly this is a "policy" that I was not told about. Had I known, I woulda turned around & went back home instead of wasting time & gas! It's a shame, it really is. The worst! Grooming is horrible. My poodle had the worst grooming . The manager is rude. The betta water is 4 dollars plus taxes and in Walmart the s 1 dollar. I don’t recommend this place at all. It’s 1 cashier ONLY.
We recently started an aquarium for our 5yr old daughter. The saleswoman seemed knowledgeable, but indeed was not!! We fell in love with a fiddler crab! Asked: Will he be ok with the other fish... yeah yeah will just fresh water be ok... yeah yeah. So we bring him home. Next morning 3 fish were gone, & one was in his mouth! Several days go by, and poor crab was floating.
