Donation box and person at Sobeys on Mumford Rd. Made a donation, but I believe the organization needs a much higher profile. I was unaware of them before today.
A man was set up at Sobeys on North street in Halifax asking, "donate to pets." Okay... My husband gave $5 because he's a nicer person than myself. I read the pamphlet and my curiosity made me look into the non-profit. Their non-profit status was revoked in July 2024, their website looks so sketchy, and the phone number is wrong. Avoid!
A pleasant man came to my door asking for donations for pet rescue and financial support for they pets they foster until they find their forever home. His name is Nelson Rhyno. Atleast that is what he wrote on the receipt. He was good with my dog at the door which I thought was a plus. But then the receipt he gave me was questionable. There was no business information on it nor did he keep a copy to prove what he collected. That left a bad taste for me.
