Buyer Beware 3 Issues: #1: Was sold a VERY sick dog and were not notified. KS law requires pet stores to maintain the health of the animals. Our puppy had been treated several times for coccidia and gerardia. They stopped treatment 3 weeks before we purchased him. Great pet store I really like this pet store. Not only do they have great birds and fish from well-respected suppliers, but they're very knowledgeable and willing to help. They also do good services for affordable prices, such as wing, nail and beak trimming on birds and pH testing on fish water.

would not trust Troy to do an aquarium install correct. Several thousand later I have a tank that has leaked once and had to be replaced. When it was replaced it was incompetently installed, no grounding probe and lied to about the probe being installed. Lied to about Troy contacting Marineland about replacing a return pump that had corrosion on from the tank leaking. Never checked the electrical equipment that is was working right after the new tank was installed. Return pump is leaking electricity in to the tank. Over $100... read more

This is the worst pet center I've seen! I like to support local businesses but this one should not be supported. Their store reeks of animal waste but it was recommended for its aquatic stock. So, I was sold a starfish .....thought it looked strange....like it had damage to its legs from another fish or invertebrate.....manager & staff assured me it was fine so I bought it. It died a day later....was expensive & made me sad. I know how to drip acclimate starfish.... Have had them in my tank & done well....should have trusted... read more

Horrible, TERRIBLE customer service. I have been going to Pet world for a year and a half, hoping my experience would improve. I'd rather support a locally owned business than a large company like petsmart and petco but I will never be returning here. I filled out their special order forms for a few bichir species a year ago and never heard back. I asked them this April to call me when they got other ropefish in and left my number.
