I have used Pet Set for several years and cannot imagine anyone having a negative experience with this groomer. Dixie is always more then patient with my three teacup poodles....one of which only weighs 2 lbs. and has seizures. She has been so kind and patient that I cannot even think about using anyone else. I have recommended her to my friends and they have also been happy with their service.

I can't believe the awful reviews. I've used Dixie at The Pet Set for over 12 years. I had 2 chow chows and they always came back beautiful - the male always got matted and he never had a burn or scratch on him from shaving. Chow chows are not the best with strangers but they loved Dixie. I also had a sweet pit mix that was groomed there as well. Dogs should be picked up by the scruff of the back of the neck as how the mother dog Carey's them- especially smaller dogs so they can't bite.

Pet set is a horrible place to take take your pets. They messed up my daughters dogs haircut. Stressed out her dog to the point she had to take the dog to the vet. The lady she spoke with was very rude. Inconsiderate and down right a horrible person. She refused to refund any or all of the outrageous amount they charged for the very Crappy service. Tried to do this with NO STAR but it would not allow me .... these folks did a horrible job on my daughter's dog and then we're ABSOLUTELY RUDE when she called to complain... if they treat people this way...just how do the treat the animals???? Gotta wonder. Terrible business practices by both groomer AND MANAGER.

I took my dog Lola to be groomed there. When I picked her up she had razor burn in numerous places and was cut as well. Lola's eyes were also extremely blood shot. Also, her nails were not clipped properly. They were very sharp. I took my dog back up to Pet Set to find out about her visit and was told that Lola was matted and not well behaved. I was charged $50 and was not refunded for any of my visit. I am having to take my dog to the Vet today because Lola's eyes are not any better. Pools of blood are in the whites of her ... read more

I also find this very shocking and hard to believe. I have taken my poodle to Dixie for a very long time and never had a problem. I have a very special needs dog that others have turned awayand she was ALWAYS kind and very patient with him. Once I even showed up without her knowing and found her just sitting holding with very sweetly.

I TAKE MY DOG THERE, AND DIXIE HAS ALWAYS BEEN NICE TO MY DOG, AND HE LOVES HER, SHE EVEN FOUND THAT HE HAD EAR MITES WHEN I FIRST GOT HIM.....I AM DISPUTING WHAT YOU SAID....I JUST FIND THAT SHOCKING AND UNBELIEVABLE THAT DIXIE WOULD TREAT ANY DOG THAT WAY.

I recently took my two poodle-mix dogs to be groomed at the Pet Set. Both are rescue dogs that had been abused by their previous owner, and it has taken us over a year to gain their trust and to help them to starts trusting outsiders. Dixie, the owner, greeted us at the counter, and after a short discussion she took the leash from my hand and roughly pulled my male dog, who is 9 lbs, toward her.
