David made the entire process seamless. We really appreciated being able to do a video consult before making the 90-mile trip to his office. He was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to create a custom hock brace for our pup’s ankle. Such a wonderful alternative to surgery for my older lab to receive great care, and still have mobility, rather than needing to constantly be in her crate after surgery for months. David Vowels is extremely attentive, answering questions quickly. I feel confident my lab is getting the best care!
My 5 year old lab Bear really messed up her left front legs wrist joint. Surgeon recommended amputation. Pet ortho made her a brace...she is still getting used to it but she runs around on fours and is almost as fast as before injury. Bear likes me to put on the brace...I think she realized that it stops the pain. Originally I tried a brace i got on Amazon...it didn't work at all...it was a poor fit ...didn't keep her foot at the correct angle. My dog has been in a wheelchair her entire life and she is 7 years old now. As she ages she needs changes to her wheelchair and small as well as large adjustments to give her more support. Austin and Dr David spent over 2 hours with us, adjusted her wheelchair to where she is now the most comfortable and safe I've ever seen her and running around like a puppy! I'm so glad the vet recommended this place. My poor pup has a damaged compromised paw, she was limited to very short walks before getting sore. David made her a brace that has got her back out hiking, playing and doing wild zoomies. My pup and I are so grateful for the great care and service provided here.
