If I could give -100 stars that’s exactly what I would give this practice. Since Dr. Thomas retired the shadiness that’s going on is absolutely unbelievable. Took my dog on Friday for anal glands and your itchiness… $400 later and a bunch of shots I didn’t authorize that were done while my daughter took him in even though there are notes all over the records to call me before doing anything… I was livid. Best vet ever! We are moving to Arizona after 12 years of excellent pet care with Doc Thomas...doubt I'll find a vet as reasonable, honest and caring as Doc Thomas. I called in a panic as they were closing one Saturday...my little dog had a "foxtail" working its way through his lip. Doc stayed a bit for me (I was on my way from out of town), easily removed the foxtail, and sent me on my way...no charge, teasing me as a "worried Mom". i travel from Sherman Oaks because this vet is the only one I'll trust with my pets. He knows animals and is so reasonably priced you will be amazed!
Dr. Thomas is very skilled, very knowledgeable, very efficient. He is not into gimmicks or unnecessary treatments. He diagnosed my dog with breast cancer. I took the dog for a 2nd opinion where I was given the option of surgery (removing 10 breasts! NO WAY), chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. After that experience, I went back to Dr. Thomas because I wanted compassionate, caring, and realistic care and treatment for my dogs. He is also very clever and funny! M. LoPresti
I have been going to Dr. Thomas for 9 yrs now and find him to be the best vet I have ever known. He and his staff have never been less than amazing. I have had 6 pets (cats and dogs) under his care and have had nothing praise for the service he has provided us. I like this vet, Dr Sam Thomas.He is no nonsense. Although he is fast and often rushed he seems concerned and is definitely NOT into gouging you for $$$ like all the other area Vets. He does seem to know what he is doing. So far I have taken 2 dogs and one cat there and find him just as good if not better than other vets in Camarillo and Simi who are out to take your money at every chance! Both I and my parents have always taken our dogs here. The vet is knowledgable and nice and we've never had a long wait even when it was packed. The sat shot clinic is great too. A bonus is that it is next to a pet store (that allows animals on leashes) so you can get your pet stuff before or after with ease.
