this is a local chain, but this location is particularly good. the prices are okay, but worth a few extra pennies for the help you get from the staff. they also have facilities for doggie baths. for baths or just for shopping, you are welcome to bring your pet into the store. this is convenient when you need to fit a new collar.
like any other. i see all pet stores the same way. it all looks the same and it all has the same items. this place was not different than the rest of the petfood express places. i went here because we were in oakland and our dog was hungry while in the car. the items were easy to find, so no complaints here.
Run of the Mill Pet Superstore Pet Food Express in Oakland is a giant warehouse of pet supplies. Unfortunately, their huge space does not hold a huge selection. The customer service varies and is often helpful but other times overly aggressive. It is an ok place to get your pet supplies, but does not offer anything more that the smaller non-chain stores in the area have.

The store is clean, the staff friendly and supportive but parking is a nightmare. There are so few spots in the tiny parking lot and even pulling in and out of the lot is difficult because of the incline. If you don't get to park close to the store you risk you and your pets life trying to walk through the parking lot.
