Through a very difficult situation the Pet ER staff was incredibly responsive and compassionate. They immediately identified the urgency of the situation and talked us through every step. When it came time, they gave us the time we needed to make our decision and say goodbye, showing empathy through it all.
They were wonderful. I was out of town so my husband brought Duke in. The vet called and explained everything. The next day the vet who worked with him and the staff were great with communication. It's hard being out of town when your furbaby is at the ER vet. They made it tad bit easier.
First time at PetER and would absolutely recommend this place. A triage nurse is paged the moment you check in at the front desk, to assess your pet's condition and appropriately manage resources. I found this to be extremely effective in that ten patients arrived in a span of just one hour. My dog needed immediate care (a bee sting triggered anaphylactic shock), and so was seen and treated very quickly. My cat had symptoms of a urinary blockage, so I brought him to Pet ER. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the exam was thorough. The vet also explained costs thoroughly. Fortunately, Byron was sent home with meds. I was very satisfied with our experience there.
