My boyfriend’s son and his wife lost everything when their apartment building caught on fire today. Firefighters found their dog, but their kitten is still missing. We spent several hours at the emergency vet today getting treatment their dog. The bill was 1200.00. I was shocked that Spokane’s Pet Emergency Clinic would not even discount the bill 10% for a 20 and 21 year old that lost everything, including a days work because of the fire. I took my pet in only to be referred to pet emergency who basically did not follow the vets instructions. And they upset my pet up until the last few minutes of her life at which point they felt it was easier to put her down and not follow the original vets instructions.
I don’t ever write reviews, but had to in this case. We brought in our 12 yr old cat who was in distress from a traumatic experience with a neighborhood little girl and our pool. She had been having the same symptoms of her sister who we had put to sleep 4 months earlier, so we knew it was just a matter of time and had made the decision on the way there that the outcome would most likely be putting her to sleep. We ran into the building with our limp bunny, crying and begging for them to help. We were denied help and our bunny passed away soon after. Rest in peace Basil you will forever be missed.
