Pet Country is a great place for hand-tamed exotic birds. We were introduced to Parrotlets by Keith, the owner of Pet Country. Over the last couple of years we have purchased 3 little parrotlets from Keith, and we love them all. Keith was very patient and let us visit with the birds a lot before we chose them. Now they are part of the family. Each of my sons has one, and so do I. When we are home the birds are never in their cages. They are usually on the collar of somebody's shirt, or hanging out with the boys in their room... read more
Amazing Birds! I recently bought a parrotlet from Pet Country and I could not be happier!! I had been looking for a place to buy one for some time but the birds either seemed extremely nippy or were over priced. (The Zoo wanted $300 for a green!) The people at Pet Country were a great help. I was able to see all of their baby birds while they were still hand feeding them and they let me know the personalities of each. A few weeks later when I went to pick up my bird...she was the sweetest thing! She would sit on my hand and ... read more
Pet Country is Number 1 on my list! We were interested in buying a parrot and the owners walked us through all the pros and cons of owning a parrot. They suggested an Eclectus male and he has been the joy of our lives! (Even more than our dogs!) Then we bought a Meyer's parrot from them and he is our daughter's best buddy. She adores him. Recently we purchased a Senegal and he is the sweetest bird yet. We love them all and they are so comfortable with people because of how the owners handled them from the beginning.
