The owner of Perava Auto Services, Luis Arcos, is extremely knowledgeable and the pricing is very fair. We have a VW SportWagen with the large panoramic sunroof. The sunroof drains have a tendency to clog and with our late heavy rain storms in 2024, several inches of water came in to the back of the vehicle. The fix involves many hours of taking apart the interior quarter panels and the trunk lid, drying out the interior and insulation with powerful propane heaters and then unclogging the 4 drains. The mechanic at Peruva tried to cheat me. I took in a car with 30,000 mi for an oil change and a complete mechanical inspection. The estimate was $2500 which didn't include various "alignments". The mechanic claimed the ball joints and struts and transmission pan were leaking and the differential and transfer case needed fluid changes. The car was on the lift and the mechanic showed me oil dripping from the ball joints, the struts, and the transmission pan.
