Chin-Ngee is rude. I booked an appointment with her online and when she called to chat. She wasn’t impressed I couldn’t commit to weekly or fortnightly sessions due to the steep pricing and my finances. I really needed to see someone well versed in OCD so was looking at my finances to see if I could attend more often; only to receive a cancellation of my appointment notification via email. When I called to ask why, I was told she just assumed I wouldn’t want to proceed because I couldn’t afford it.
If you have a severe case and need more assistance I would not recommend this place. For the amount I paid per session I left feeling more and worse about myself.
I waited awhile for an apt for my daughter: even taking a day off work. Both times my apt was cancelled. I told the practice I was using ndis funding with a plan manager. I then had an apt with another therapist there only to be told after all the emails back any forth that she isn’t a provider. Months of wasted waiting and time back and emails. So very disappointed and frustrated.
For moderate to probably severe in my case. I’d have to say I wouldn’t recommend. Nice people but as in other reviews, little to no structure. Owner more interested in the revenue, never used to be like this. Cashing in on the Covid aftermath and the 20 reduced priced sessions. It’s around $270 for 50 mins, used to be $180… annoying and best treatment I’ve found is overseas, far more knowledge in UK and the states
Someone close to me went to this clinic for a few months. They had students see him and the student got changed jn the middle of the treatment. Some good strategies were given but no tracking progress and very little accountability. There was a lot of homework which wasn’t helpful considering the person has severe OCD and found it hard to do them at home.
