I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the staff who cared for my 11-month-old daughter. We arrived at the Emergency Department because she had developed a high fever. The triage nurse was kind, professional, and attentive, and provided medication while we waited. Absolutely devastating. Arrived at the Children’s Hospital at 5:30pm on a Wednesday, the triage nurse saw us within 10 minutes of entering and waiting. He was kind enough to apologise and set an expectation of a long wait time of about 1 hour and 30 mins. We didn’t mind as my child has been having a concerning temperature of 40 degrees for 3 days in a row with symptoms of coughing, runny nose, excessive sweating and no appetite to eat. What a disgusting emergency children Hospital it is !!! I took my children she is just 8 months and I have been waiting since 11:00pm and it’s 4:10am And Still the nurses saying you are the next !!
