We are incredibly grateful to the team at Perth Children’s Hospital. Our daughter’s appendicitis was diagnosed and treated before it ruptured, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. A huge thank you to the Short Stay and Recovery teams, Dr Ray Kelly (Anaesthetist), the surgeon, and all the wonderful nurses and doctors who cared for her. A big shoutout to the amazing team at Perth Children’s Hospital, especially Nurse Elena, who looked after us when we came to Emergency late at night with our 2-year-old son who had croup. He was crying non-stop, very unsettled and struggling with heavy, noisy breathing, so it was a really stressful night for us as parents. i was here for my mental health for an emergency, i was here for 9 hours and i got no help, all i got was a cahms magnet, i had deep self inflicted injuries and didn’t get bandaged or anything and it turned out infected :-( and the psychologist i got to talk to at pch was telling me to ignore my ocd compulsions but that is something someone with ocd cant just do. I wish pch could’ve done way better. im happy i didn’t go into the mental ward but i do hope they treat people better in there, overall, they need to be better with... read more
