After a service tech cleaned my boiler, the hot water was not consistent. I called and spoke with professional and friendly office staff, who scheduled a tech visit. The tech suggested a coil was to blame, and based on age of boiler suggested either a stand alone hot water tank or a new furnace. My instincts were skeptical. Fortunately for me, a family friend is an HVAC tech. He came over and loosened the stuck mixer valve, and what do you know! The hot water issue was resolved!
