A bit of a mixed bag. Based off the other reviews, I have to chalk my experience as being a rare occurrence and not indicative of what would be the average experience. The good first. My partner and I came in on a Thursday night, which is the day they have their three course pasta specials. Each of our meals were excellent, with the strawberry margarita being a real highlight. Update — July 2026: We returned to Persephone to celebrate our 48th anniversary, and once again had an excellent experience. The food was beautifully prepared, fresh, and full of flavor. Every dish was delicious and clearly made with great care. Our server was Amy S and she was friendly and attentive. We look forward to returning again! Favorite place in Soquel for a fantastic dinner. July 2025 We had a fabulous dinner,, and dessert, the waiter Caleb was great. First stop next time in the area.
One of our best experiences at a restaurant. 10 out of 10, recommend. Excellent staff, excellent food, great place for us to celebrate our five-year anniversary. The staff, especially our server Valen, did an incredible job and walked us through the entire menu and just really put her soul into the service. Our host Carlo, who started us off with such a friendly demeanor and an amazing vibe, 10/10. Can't recommend this place enough.
It’s a really cool old house. The food and drinks were outstanding. Definitely will go back again. Reservations were easy it seems less known but great quality.
Lovely dinner with friends here. Food was delicious, service was exceptional.
