Unfortunately, the experience with Melaine Nix was not a positive one. We were shocked by the counselor's lack of confidentiality. As parents, we share things with our children's counselors to help with insight into our lives. The information given to the counselors should not be shared with the child... as we all know. Children do not need to know the details surrounding certain family issues. Our experience only caused further emotional damage, anger and distrust.
