Great marine shop for parts and service! Their pricing is lower than other marine shops with excellent selection and have had every part I’ve needed in stock. Mike and Makela are very knowledgeable and helpful. Save your time and call them first.
Mike is hands down the best mechanic I have ever met and an incredibly valuable resource and fountain of knowledge to all gear heads in the Sierras. He helped diagnose an issue with an engine in a replica vintage race car and completed an engine swap that included some interesting trouble shooting and creative fabrication. The end result is amazing - super clean, professional, and the carb was tuned perfectly. Highly recommend Mike and Performance Marine.

Called and got a quote from this place for some work on my outboard. I can understand charging 155$ an hour for intricate work. But charging 155$ an hour for oil changes and minor work that can be done by anyone including myself is absolutely ridiculous. I would never goto this place just on the fact that they don’t have people that can do the simple work at minimum wage and then get there pros to do the things a pro is needed for.
