We wanted a great field bred Golden for upland hunting and Howard came through for us! She’s also doing just fine in hunt tests but she’d rather be pestering our Lewellyn or next to my side.
My golden, Turner, is my first personal dog, and I could not have got him from a more reputable breeder, such as PBG Kennels. “Gus” is 5 months old and the 6th Golden Retriever our family has owned over the last 40 years. So, I feel like we know something about the breed and he is certainly special. I cannot say enough positive things about Howard, PBG, and our boy Rooster. We found PBG on a "responsible breeder" forum and then researched them ourselves. Howard took all the time in the world to discuss his dogs, hunting, and expectations of his dogs. We are a very active family and love to have our dogs with us while we exercise, work in the field, and play. His puppy exceeded our expectations. From our first visit with Howard at PBG Kennels to the day we picked her up, our experience was superb. Howard truly knows and loves Goldens and kept us informed with updates and photos from the day our Golden was born until we took her home. Piper is now 1 year old and is well trained, very lovable, and still thinks she is a lap dog! PBG is the best!
