I’ve been a contract worker who has frequently visited Woodhaven on and off for a few years. I have certainly seen its ups and downs as they deal with a challenging population of people. Recently, I’ve been impressed with some of the new management team as they join some gems of longstanding staff. Chris, the new executive director, has seemingly breathed new life into this building. I have been trying to reach the payroll department for over a month now without so much as the common courtesy of a call back. Wood Haven never paid me for two musical performances this past summer and is giving me the runaround. I've also worked as nurse for 25 years, with extensive experience as a wellness nurse in assisted living situations. If this is how a company treats it's vendors, I emphatically warn you and your family away from Woodhaven and Meridian.

During the pandemic they consistently had to lock down because the staff members kept testing positive for covid putting the residents at risk. The staff turnaround is constant. Their director role has been replaced twice since last year and they now have an interim director while they rehire for this upper level position once again. They did not pass their recent recertification survey which is performed by they EOEA and therefore cannot admit new residents until they make appropriate changes and they were not transparent a... read more
