as a former employee... – I was a waiter at this restaurant for 7 years and I know how excellent it is. From your review I can tell three things: You did not read the menu. Peppinos vodka sauce is exce.llent, probably the best most people have ever had. Just because you are from NYC doesnt excuse you from reading the menu and expecting it to be just like some other restaurant you ate at.. Pleasant atmosphere, so-so food – We were a group of 8, 4 adults & 4 kids, all from New York. In New York penne a la vodka is not a spicy dish. If a waiter sees a 6-year-old child ordering a spicy dish shouldn't he say something? I ordered fish, which was rather plain, my kids were not very happy with their spaghetti and meatballs, either. My friend?s kids had to reorder b/c, as I mentioned before, it was too spicy.
