Put some money into this hotel and it would be outstanding. Such potential. Mattresses are so old and uncomfortable. Stairs crumbling. Gnarly dirt filled pool. Outstanding views and optimal location. Right in heart of Tahoe City, 15 min from Alpine Meadows and 20 from Palisades base in opposite direction of traffic. Bizarre AI reception line with very limited office hours. Never stayed anywhere with so much unrealized investment upside.
There was a mix-up with our booking last week and we came in on the wrong day. Staff was able to bump our reservation to this week so we decided to do that. Very much appreciated. Rooms seem fine, building is a bit dated but whatever. Microwave, fridge, smart TV, and two queen beds in range of the slopes.
Fantastic hotel with great views and at a reasonable price! The staff is extremely helpful and willing to go the extra mile when needed. I had a slight issue with my access card not reading and the overnight staff was more than willing to let me in and out without complaint. I would stay here again for sure.
